Paul Guggina, President - was elected to the Board in June, 2009.  He is Assistant Counsel with UTC, Pratt & Whitney Legal Services.  Paul learned about HERC through Leaders On Board, a program sponsored by Leadership Greater Hartford that matches those interested in serving on non-profit Boards with agencies seeking skilled and committed Board members. 

Terence Floyd, Secretary/Vice President - is an Affordable Lending Manager for People's United Bank. Terry joined the HERC Board in 2007.  He became familiar with HERC, its programs and services when he worked with HERC staff on several projects of mutual interest and concern during his tenure with Co-opportunity, Inc.

Martin Semeraro, Treasurer - was elected to the Board in June, 2009.  Marty was also "matched" with HERC through the Leaders on Board Program.  He is a Business Intelligence IT Manager with The Travelers.

Akin Adekeye, Director - learned about HERC from his colleague, Paul Guggina.  Akin is Assistant Counsel with UTC, Pratt & Whitney Global Supply Management.  Akin joined the HERC Board in July, 2011.

Sabine Gedeon, Director - is the University Relations Specialist with ISO New England as well as a  Human Resources specialist.  Sabine learned about HERC through the Leaders on Board Express Match program and joined the Board in July, 2011. 

Henry Gu, Director - is an Information System Developer with Data Management, Inc. in Farmington.  He began his association with HERC in 2001 when he developed the organization's database and data collection system as a volunteer. Henry joined the Board of Directors in 2004 and serves as the organization's Database Administrator.

Brian Handley, Director - is a journalist who recently relocated to the area from Detriot, Michigan.  Brian joined the Board in January, 2011.  He learned of HERC through his participation in Leadership Greater Hartford's Leaders on Board Program and was recruited for the Board through an "Express Match" event.  

Melinda Polson, C.P.A., Director - is the Controller of Z-Medica Corporation in Wallingford . She was thrilled to rejoin the Board in 2007 after a 3-year absence and served as President and Treasurer until June, 2010.

Julie Suedmeyer, Director - is a Senior Manager, Community Investment with the United Way of Central and Northeastern Connecticut.  Julie joined the Board in May, 2011 after learning about the organization from Marty Semeraro.

Susan Harkett-Turley, Ex-Officio, Non-Voting - is the Executive Director of HERC.
